I have been teaching for over three years now. I started teaching friends and family members in my home. My key points are musical technique and consistent practice. I try to teach music as a form of language, much like Victor Wooten teaches. The most important thing is keeping things interesting for both me and the student, while still preparing them for school performances and recitals. I am always excited to teach my students, as well as help them succeed in any endeavor they choose. Read More

Instruments: Flute Recorder Piccolo
My greatest interest in music rests in Ethnomusicology. I have a particular passion for traditional Celtic music, and am proficient in the Tin Whistles. I also dabble in traditional Native American flutes, and own instruments from Guatamaula and the indigenous tribes of Alaska. With my teaching comes a deep appreciation for music, the message it sends, and the way that music culture affects the people around us. I continue to expand my knowledge of cultural musics, and would love the opportunity to pass that knowledge on to my students. Read More

Moreover, now I have progressed into teaching high school students who plays viola in more advanced level such as trying to audition for texas all state orchestra, state solo and ensemble, assigned etudes, book exercises, and scales. I encourage students to be open with me if they have any problems in playing their violin/viola, feeling overwhelmed with music, and/or feeling uncomfortable/shy when playing their instrument. It is very important to address these situations in order to make sure the student feels comfortable playing the violin/viola, knows how to overcome their obstacles, and most of all, feeling confident and passionate. Instruments: Guitar Bass Guitar
As a musician, it is very important to understand the perspective of all instruments and how they work together. The better that one understands this connection, the more profound their contribution will be when playing with others. As a teacher, my goal is to assist each student in finding their own creative voice and guide them through the process of learning to express themselves through music. In addition to learning the guitar, I encourage my students to listen carefully and take notice to all the accompanying instruments in the music that they enjoy listening to. Read More
