My hope is to encourage and inspire players of all ages to pursue music as a passion and find love for it. Each student is and individual and as an individual, there is no cookie cutter way to teach. Each student has their own goals and their own reasons for learning guitar. My desire is to teach them to the point where they are satisfied with their level of playing while encouraging them to expand their horizons of music. Read More

What advice do you have about practicing effectively?
Always practice passionatley

How do I know if my child is ready to start lessons?
When they can't stop singing or playing an instrument obsessively

When will I start to see results?
when they hit the stage

Did you have a teacher that inspired you to go into music? How did they inspire you?
No I was actually defused by most music teachers so I actually got out and audition in bands and immerse myself into anything musically situation and later by being determined the doors of opportunities where opening and as creative as I was my artist gifts grew into my song writing and composing the more I did it the better I got my inspiration came from within myself deep inside knowing I had a little more than my musical mentors so basically music is about believing in yourself and captivating an audience with a musical universal appeal you can always learn small tricks from others but honing your musical passion is what it's all about

Why did you choose your primary instrument?
I had no choice I was giving a guitar instead of a drum-set early on cause either of my divorced parents didn't have enough money to buy me a drum-set so I was giving a hand me down guitar by my Dad and my Father would spend his time recording me sing basically non-sense on a tape deck so I grew up trying my hardest to learn to play it my uncle took me under his wing and begun teaching me what little he knew than he introduced me to a neighborhood rock n roll band and that's where it all started coming together until this very day that band continues to perform their original music.

What musical accomplishments are you most proud of?
I've written and composed many songs and continue to write and record that's my main accomplishment and still continues to be till this very day I done many performances with many people it's been great but you can't be as good as the greats if you don't do your home work it's very competitive but it's all how well you write first of all and that's the main accomplishment I can't stress more than anything once you can master your craft your gift the rest is simple another accomplishment is being a awesome entertainer on stage that's the next level.

Have any of your students won awards or been selected for special honors? How have they succeeded?
My kids have done shows since 3yrs of age and many of students went on to join bands or make their own band, some have in home studio, some write songs...the award is what you make of your passion for music

What do you think is the hardest thing to master on your instrument?
lol...not sure about this question

Do you use specific teaching methods or books? (Ex: Alfred, Bastion, Suzuki, Hal Leonard) Why did you choose them if you did?
There's one thing about music it's an art form it's great to get ideas from others or just see how they go about music but everyone true musician is an artist and their music is a soundtrack of their compositions

If you weren't a musician what do you think you'd be doing instead?
Well I've had many jobs but music will take you many places and to many faces there's a lot of sacrifice

What is your favorite style/genre of music to play and why?
It's not about a style or genre it's about a song that can move and shake a soul

If you play more than one instrument, how did you decide to start playing the second? (Or 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc)!
If you want to truly be an artist learn as many instruments as u want it's only make you better

Does music run in your family? Tell us a little about your musical family members.
My father a very deep love for music but was never learn to play but had an ear for touching songs my uncle was a guitarist for a band for a very short while....but in my grandmother brother was orchestra conductor and would compose and teach his musical masterpieces

When did you decide to become a professional musician? Was it a gradual decision or was there a defining moment for you?
Well i came to the crossroads very early in life my parents divorced my mom got remarried I was later a lost child growing up and I was sent to live with my Grand mother who bought me a real electric guitar and a massive amp to keep my mind occupied from a broken home life my grand father and her would take me to see live bands and somewhere in that time I realized is will be my lifestyle forever more

...use the 1235 digital patter in all of its permutations.     Chords vs. Progressions When I was a young musician, I tried desperately to figure out jazz on my own. The key to making this work is finding a good mentor who will teach you everything you need to know.   One of the most common approaches to learning this trade is self-study. This is a particularly good option for musicians who are looking to supplement their music career, develop their skills on the side, and learn a little about recording. Self-study can be difficult, as you often don’t have an outside educated opinion to let you know when you’re doing something improperly. There are ... Read More
