There will be supplemental materials, especially for more advanced students, that are instrument specific such as etudes and technical exercises. We will continue focusing on band literature, contemporary, classical, or solo literature depending on the goals of the students and their interests. For beginners, I like to establish a steady embrochure and hold on the clarinet. It is important to establish these crucial elements. I also strongly believe in scales right off the bat and try to integrate these in an interesting way, along with some beginning solo repertoire.
