As I am certified in Suzuki Book 1, I start students with Suzuki books and methods, while also supplementing with other materials and incorporating any extra music/activities a student might be excited about! With students who have already started, I will often still refer to the Suzuki materials, but I will pull more from other books and repertoire. I have a deep and passionate love for all things music, whether it's teaching, performing, writing, or listening, and I love being able to share that with my students. I did my undergrad program at UMass Lowell and have achieved my Bachelors degree in Music Studies. I currently still attend the University, where I am striving to get my Masters degree in Music Teaching. I am a cellist currently living in NYC, and have am experienced in performing, recording, and teaching experience. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2014, where I received my Bachelor's degree in cello performance. There, I studied classical, rock, folk, and improvisation on the cello. I've had the opportunity to play in Boston's Symphony Hall, as well as many other venues in the city. In 2014, I recorded cello for the Documentary Watchers of the Sky, premeired in the Sundance Film Festival, and from July to October, I performed with the Anna Myer Dance Company in New York City and Boston.    From January- March 2016, I was the cello teacher for the Enriching Lives Through Music program in San Rafael, California. I have exceptional experience in teaching little children learning their first instruments to upper grade students who are serious about studying music in college. I have played cello since age 4 and piano since age 7. I holds a B.M. in cello performance and composition from Ithaca College, as well as a Masters in cello performance from Boston University. Currently earning a Performance Studies Certificate in Contemporary Classical Music from Boston Conservatory under Rhonda Rider, I perform with the contemporary ensemble there, as well as freelance performing in the greater Boston area.   I am currently about to complete my undergraduate degree at Wheaton College in Norton, MA.  During my freshman year, I auditioned for and was accepted into the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.  With this ensemble, I gained extensive training as a touring cellist in a large orchestra.  We perfomed regularly in Symphony Hall Boston, Sander's Theatre Harvard, a tour to Carnegie Hall (reviewed by the NY Times and turned into a live recording for sale), as well as a tour to The Netherlands in June 2013 where we played in 5 cities culminating in a performance in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
